Minimise your set-up time to maximise your production.

Lengthy set-up times can have a crippling effect on your production efficiency. In this fast-changing world the ability to be able to adapt fast is the key to success. With manufacturing, you have to be able to adapt fast but also be accurate, cost effective and dependable.

Kitagawa India’s modular workholding systems from LANG Technik (Germany) make this possible. To explain the system clearly we break the product into three main categories – Zero-point clamping, Workholding & Automation

Mechanical Zero-Point Clamping – Easy to understand, easy to use, easy to order!

LANG’s Zero-point system is known as Quick.Point and is the heart of their modular eco-system. To less than 5 microns of repeatability, you can switch-out via four clamping studs either LANG’s own workholding products or your workpiece in a matter of seconds. Quick.Point is only 27mm high and with up to 12 tonnes of holding force from a few turns of a hex key Quick.Point revolutionises your production possibilities and set up times. A cost-effective simple manual actuation has no air or hydraulic lines to mess with. Other systems rely on spring-loaded balls to retain the clamping stud. Over time, springs weaken, reducing the force they can apply to the balls. This can result in vibration and an increased risk of disengagement under heavy machining loads.

One of the best features of Quick.Point is the expanding modularity of the system so if one four stud connection is not enough then you can simply mount another Quick.Point plate next to the first allowing you to expand precisely at any time or according to your budget. Also available in riser, tombstone or pyramid configurations to enable you to present your workpiece to the machine spindle as you desire.

Designed to overcome the limitations and high-cost of other zero-point systems, Quick.Point is a low-profile, simple, precise and affordable quick- change workholding system that offers unmatched clamping strength.

    LANG Workholding

We provide suitable clamping solutions for any machining task be it for raw, round, pre-machined, semi-finished or large parts. Using our stamping technology allows our workholding vices, Makro.Grip, to have high holding forces and process reliability. 3 mm of gripping height on raw material provides the ideal accessibility for 5 sided machining. The form-closure system from the stamping ensures that the Makro.Grip vices are free from wear and have distortion free clamping.

The standard Makro.Grip vices can clamp raw workpieces up to 355mm long meanwhile Makro.Grip ULTRA allows raw workpieces that are 810mm in length or more to be gripped still with 3mm of gripping height!!

Then to cover conventional clamping Makro.Grip has a range of quick-change, steel or aluminium top-jaws to suit irregular workpieces. Vasto.Clamp and Makro.4Grip technology enable raw or machined round workpiece to be gripped. All these vices pair seamlessly with Quick.Point adding to the modularity of the entire product range allows to grip many different workpieces on one or many zero-point stations.

    Automation

KITAGAWA India and LANG bring their technologies together to provide you with the quick switch automation (QSA) systems which allows you to automate the manufacture of a single part or for large scale production. QSA systems are retrofittable to any machining centre. The re-equipping of the system for new workpieces can be achieved in a matter of seconds. The operation of the QSA system is simple with a quick installation and minimal training expenses. The system allows you to have a high storage capacity on a small foot print.
