As automotive and aerospace components push toward tighter tolerances, advanced geometries, and multi axis machining requirements, the limits of traditional rotary mechanisms become increasingly apparent. High speed machining, composite materials, heat resistant alloys, and complex 3D contours all demand rotary tables with superior rigidity, stable thermal behavior, and zero mechanical play. To address these challenges, HIWIN’s Torque Motor Rotary Tables (TMRT) provide a direct drive architecture that eliminates mechanical transmission elements, delivering zero backlash, reduced wear, and significantly improved machining stability.

RAB Series — High Torque Dual Axis for Heavy Demand Tasks
For manufacturers producing structural components, engine housings, or precision chucks for aerospace and EV platforms, the RAB Series offers a dual axis rotary system engineered for heavy load, high torque, and synchronized tilting. Equipped with a water cooled direct drive motor, high rigidity bearings, absolute encoders, and robust clamping, the series is designed to maintain angular accuracy under intensive multi directional cutting loads. Its combination of torque and speed makes RAB ideal for milling turning hybrid equipment, where a single setup must manage both contouring and rotational machining without accuracy degradation.

RCV Series — High Performance Vertical Axis for Rigid Automotive Milling
HIWIN’s RCV Series incorporates water cooled torque motors, high acceleration capacity, and rigid crossed roller bearings to handle demanding automotive machining tasks. These vertically mounted tables exhibit high load capacity and excellent tilt resistance, which are essential for cylinder head work, gear machining, and aluminum structural part processing.

Their compatibility with mainstream CNC control systems further simplifies integration into production machining cells.

RAS Series — Compact Dual Axis Rotaries for Multi Angle Machining
The RAS Series provides dual axis capability (rotary + tilt) in a compact footprint suitable for five axis machines with limited installation space. Its high response direct drive system supports precise angular orientation, enabling efficient machining of turbine blade features, diffuser channels, and complex composite forms frequently found in aerospace structures.

This compactness reduces machine envelope requirements while preserving accuracy across multi directional cutting operations.

RCH Series — Direct Drive Rotary Table for EDM Precision
For die sinking EDM used in aerospace cooling-hole molds, injector nozzles, or precision tooling, the RCH 100E delivers high accuracy and zero backlash through its direct drive torque motor. Its maximum rotational speed of 200 rpm, stable clamping, and compact design provide the rigidity required for high definition electrode paths, ensuring consistent material removal during prolonged EDM cycles.

HIWIN’s torque motor rotary tables respond directly to the machining challenges characteristic of aerospace and automotive production: tight tolerances, complex surfaces, multi directional loading, and the need for stable high speed rotation. Whether producing turbine blades, structural aerospace components, EV drivetrain parts, or high precision molds, HIWIN TMRT solutions provide the motion accuracy, thermal stability, and mechanical rigidity required for modern, high value manufacturing.
