    Tyrolit Break the ground for Its First Manufacturing Facility in Pune, India

    Tyrolit Grinding Technologies Pvt. Ltd., part of the globally established Tyrolit Group, Break the ground for Its First Manufacturing Facility on Pisoli Road, Kondhwa BK, Pune. The on-site ceremony gathered senior leadership, industry professionals, trade representatives, and members of the press.

    Distinguished attendees included Mr. Nilesh Nazre, Managing Director, Tyrolit Grinding Technologies Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Saachhin Kokane, Regional Business Head – India & Middle East, Tyrolit Group; Mr. Pravin Shirse, Director, Indian Cutting Tools Manufacturers Association (ICTMA); Mr. Rajib Banerjee, Sales Head – India; and Mrs. Pushpa Sagar, Agent and Distributor, Tyrolit Schleifmittelwerke Swarovski KG. Their presence marked the company’s formal expansion into domestic production and its closer alignment with the Indian market.

    Headquartered in Austria, Tyrolit is among the leading producers of grinding and cutting tools worldwide. With operations spanning over 140 countries and a catalogue of more than 80,000 products, the company has been at the forefront of supplying solutions to the metalworking and construction sectors. The brand’s entry into Indian manufacturing marks a significant step in strengthening its presence in the region.

    The Pune facility will serve as a regional base for production, quality control, and technical services. It has been established to respond to the growing needs of sectors such as automotive, metal fabrication, engineering, and industrial maintenance.

    The launch event was covered by MACHINE TOOLS WORLD, one of India’s leading publications focused on developments in CNC machinery, cutting systems, industrial automation, and precision tooling. The magazine has been chronicling innovation across the machine tools segment for over a decade.

    Speaking at the event, senior representatives of Tyrolit accentuated the company’s plan to align with local industry priorities while bringing global expertise into the domestic manufacturing framework. The site is expected to improve turnaround times, provide tailored services, and support Indian businesses with access to a wide range of certified products and engineered solutions.

    Tyrolit employs over 4,500 professionals worldwide and holds 500+ patents. The launch of its

    new facility in India aligns with increasing demand from Indian industries for advanced supply chain solutions, cutting-edge equipment, and reduced turnaround times.

    Speaking at the launch, Tyrolit’s management shared their plans to develop the site as a base for technical operations and long-term partnerships with Indian manufacturers while indicating future plans to introduce localized product variants aligned with sector-specific requirements.

    The site tour that followed highlighted the facility’s advanced capabilities and sparked discussions on knowledge-sharing programs, technical training, and scalable partnerships for upskilling local talent.

    Additional updates on output volumes and product availability will follow as the Pune facility begins delivering on its long-term industrial and social commitments.
