    Taiwan brings together Taiwan Machine Tool Industry at ACMEE 2016

    Taiwan brings together Taiwan Machine Tool Industry at ACMEE 2016

    Promoting bilateral trade between India and Taiwan, Showcasing best machine tool cluster in the World

    ACMEE 2016 :Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) in association with Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association (AIEMA) and National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) today launched high-quality innovations and total manufacturing machine tools products for India’s Aerospace, Automobile, Automation Engineering, Ancillaries, Consultancy and Services, Machinery, Machine Tools, Electrical, Electronics, Energy, and Environment at ACMEE 2016 at Chennai Trade Center.

    The event was graced by Mr. Charles C. Li, Director General, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center; Dr.Guann-Jyh Lee, Executive Director, Economic Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre, and Mr. George Lin, Director of Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC).The Guest of Honour was Mr.C.V.Sankar, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu, Industries Department.

    The representatives of six world’s leading machine tools and accessories brands from Taiwan – YCM, FFG, EXCETEK, TONGTAI, HIWIN and CHAIN HEADWAY were present at the Chennai Trade Center. During the event, YCM introduced 5AX double column vertical machining center, features for its machining capabilities of high speed and high precision which is the best for aerospace parts machining; FFG introduced their complete product line and turnkey solution for Indian automobile and aerospace manufacturer; TONGTAI showcased the strength of additive manufacturing and their high-end machines for the automotive and aircraft industries; EXCETEK introduced their high precision wire cutting EDM, die sinking EDM and superior WEDM machining solutions; HIWIN highlighted its overall capabilities in the supply and support of robotic automation solutions for manufacturing applications; CHAIN HEADWAY showcased their capacity to provide high speed, high intensity and high precision milling tools for IT, automobile and aerospace industry.

    The event saw various Technical Sessions, Product Presentations, Launches, and Social Networking Evenings.

    Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Charles C. Li, Director General, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center said, “In the recent years, the Indian Government has unveiled an ambitious plan to increase the share of manufacturing in the GDP. The total exports of Taiwan-made machine tools and components to India in 2015 reached US$125 million. Of the machine models exported to India, machining centers, machine presses, lathes and metal cutting tools were in high demand. We are extremely keen on supporting the Indian government’s programme on ‘Make in India’. We have been bringing advanced technology and unique business solutions to India and will continue to excel our offerings. Through our contribution to the ACMEE 2016 event, TWTC intends to stand true to its commitment of building bilateral ties between India and Taiwan that is mutually lucrative.”

    Dr.Guann-Jyh Lee, Executive Director, Economic Division, Taipei Economic and Cultural Center added, “Taiwan Machine Tool Industry has a key role to play in the Indian manufacturing industry. It is the 5th largest machine tool exporter in the world along with being the 7th largest machine tool manufacturer in the world. Taiwanese companies can offer their machine tools in broad spectrum of industries like Automobile, Aerospace, Automation Engineering, Ancillaries, etc. Through TWTC we are enabling the best of India and Taiwan to correspond and engage through strategic alliances that will benefit both the nations.”

    In the year 2015, the top ten destinations for Taiwan’s machine tool exports were China (including Hong Kong), United States, Turkey, Thailand, Germany, Vietnam, the Netherland, India, Japan and Russia.

    The 16 Taiwanese companies exhibiting in India under the aegis of TWTC are HannKuen Machinery & Hardware Co. Ltd; Kilews Industrial Co. Ltd; Sesame Motor Corp; Echain Tool Industry Co. Ltd; Brainchild Electronic Co. Ltd; CosenMachinery Industrial Co. Illinois Enterprises co. Shan Hua Plastic Industrial Co. Ltd; Kolowa Ventilation Co. Ltd; Chain Headway Machine Tools Co. Ltd; Yeong Chin Machinery Industries Co. Ltd; Hiwin Technologies Corp; Excetek Technologies Co. Ltd; Fair Friend Ent. Co. Ltd; Tongtai Machine & Tool Co. Ltd and Precision Motion Industries.

    Covering the five pavilions of ACMEE, these companies showcased and launched products in categories like Drilling, Tapping, Boring, Milling Spindle Heads, Servo and Hydraulic Slide Units, Tool holders, Boring bars, End mills, Rapid drills, Carbide end mills, Lathes and Turning Machines, Milling and Boring Machines, Machining Centers, etc.

    ACMEE 2016, 12th International Machine Tools Exhibition, the biggest exhibition on machine tools will be jointly organized by Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association (AIEMA) and National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) in Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India during 16 – 20 June 2016.

    Ambattur Industrial Estate is one of the oldest and well maintained industrial estates in India. More than 2000 manufacturing units are functioning in the estate manufacturing and offering a wide range of products and services – auto components, industrial machinery, electrical machinery, machine tools, accessories, welding, moulds& dies, CNC, leather and garments, IT related services, etc.

    AIEMA is the main representative body of the units in the Estate and liaises with Government, Banks, Industry Associations/Chambers, etc.
