Looking back, we see the serious crisis inspired the best in Schmersal India Team members -the administrative staff and Sales who quickly adapted to the new Work from Home scenario by mastering new tools for collaboration with customers and also the Shopfloor employees who ensured that the Manufacturing operations remained ON, since Schmersal was classified as an essential supplier.
From the Management side policies were reviewed and new SOP were implemented swiftly. The EOU division ensured business kept running when India was still under lock down (with very less local business) and with further increased order inputs in EOU we inaugurated and expanded our EOU, in Pandemic times itself. With restrictions at Customer’s end, they preferred our tec.nicum division to complete projects which involved complete solutions from one source-from Risk Assessment to supply of products to integration and validation from single competent source .
Changing Market were provided with new solutions like Schmersal Access Control System (SAC-IO-20) an intuitive traffic-light system with integrated counter that automatically counts the number of visitors entering a building- The software of our bp408 lift control module, has been updated to enable ‘coronavirus-safe’ use of lifts. In past few months customer were more keen on Solutions like Bluetooth Light curtains, Coded RFID sensors, Safety Controllers which help them move to their goal of Industry 4.0 and at the same time achieve highest level of safety and diagnostics. Our Virtual Fair platform enables our partners to visit our E Exhibition to evaluate and try all the new solutions mentioned above.
