Triangulation means the measurement of distance by calculating the angle. In measurement technology a Sensor projects a laser spot onto the Measurement object. The reflected light falls incident onto a receiving element at a certain angle depending on the distance. The distance to the Measurement object or Target is calculated in the Sensor by the position of the light spot on the Receiver element and from the distance of the transmitter to the receiving element.
