The Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai – Saturday, 20th September 2025

Mumbai, 20th September 2025 – The second day of the Italian Tech in India 2025 brought insightful discussions on regulatory frameworks, talent development, and the roadmap for future Indo-Italian collaborations. Building on the momentum of Day 1, today’s sessions focused on compliance, skills, and long-term partnerships between India, Italy, and the EU.

The session opened with a deep dive into the complexities of regulatory frameworks. With increasing linkages between India’s BIS, QCOs, DEMAT, and EU regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act, experts explored how Italian companies can navigate this “regulatory maze” with clarity and confidence. The second session of the day was on skills, education & Human Capital for Tech Collaboration.

With India’s youthful workforce and Italy’s engineering and design expertise, panelists emphasized the creation of cross-border innovation campuses, vocational training ecosystems, and competence centers. The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, Welingkar Institute of Management. With the panelists comprising of Prof. Venkata Santosh Kumar Delhi from IIT Bombay, Alessandro Giuliani, Managing Director of SDA Bocconi Asia Centre, Alok Kumar, CEO, NSDC International, New Delhi, Prof. Rekha S. Singhal, Institute of Chemical Technology and Prof. Alessandro Biamonti, Rector’s Delegate for International Relations with India, Politecnico di Milano joined in online.

Panelists underlined the need for building globally connected talent pools, mobility programs, and stronger academia-industry partnerships.
