On May 11 to 13, 2016, Chongqing International Surface Finishing, Electroplating and Coating Exhibition (SF EXPO 2016), and Chongqing International Industrial Water Treatment and Environmental Protection Equipment Exhibition (WATEP EXPO 2016) have rung down the curtain at Chongqing International Expo Center. It made a big splash to the surface finishing and water treatment sector.
The exhibition is jointly organized by the China Electroplating Association, China Surface Engineering Association Painting of Branch, Chongqing Surface Engineering Association, Chongqing Association of Environmental Protection Industry and Wise Exhibition (Guangdong) Co.,Ltd. It is also greatly supported by surface finishing associations all over the country and environmental protection institutions of the Southwest China market.

SF EXPO 2016 opening started at 9am on May 11. Mr. Ma Jie, President of China Electroplating Association, Mr. Tao Weimin, Mr. Wang Yijianand Ms Wu Weiling, the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of China Surface Engineering Association Painting of Branch, Mr. Hu Guohui, Chairmen of Chongqing Surface Engineering Association, Mr. Zhong Youzhao, Sichuan Province Surface Engineering Industry Association, Mr. Xiao Hua, Vice President of China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, Mr. Li Wentao, Secretary General of Chongqing Painting Industry Association, and Mr. Zhao Dajun, Secretary General of Tianjin Electroplating Association and many other officials of the industrial associations have attended the fair. Chongqing Evening News, Chongqing Morning Post, Huaxi Daily, CQTV have reported the grand opening of SF EXPO 2016 and WATEP EXPO 2016.
Along with the opening, the SF EXPO organizer granted awards to Norilsk Nickel from Russia and Artek Chemical from India respectively as the Best Electroplating Material Overseas Brand and the Most Popular Surface Finishing Overseas Brand. Experts Speech of Industrial Trends
Several industrial conferences and seminars have been held at the same time as SF EXPO. 2016 China (Chongqing) International Surface Engineering Forum & The 13th Surface Engineering Technology Forum was held in Carlton Hotel Chongqing by Chongqing Association for Science and Technology and China Surface Engineering Association, for the in-depth discussion on surface finishing technology. China (Chongqing) Automotive Coatings & Painting Summit 2016, organized by Painting Technology Committee of Society of Automotive Engineering of China, China Surface Engineering Association Painting of Branch and National Coating Industrial Association, Chongqing Painting Industry Association, has attracted over 100 automobile enterprises. In addition, the 19th National Paint & Coatings and Surface Protection Conference, Founding Meeting of China Surface Engineering Association Science and Technology Committee and China Surface Engineering Association Electronic Plating Committee were also held during the dates of exhibition in Chongqing. All the attendees of the seminars and conferences also paid visit to SF EXPO 2016.

Investigation trip to Southwest China market
To help overseas enterprises to better understand the prospect of surface finishing industry in Southwest China market, SF EXPO organized exhibitors and visitors to investigate the market by visiting industrial parks and surface finishing factories, to know more about the sector and find business opportunities. Over 25 participants from India, Korea, Bangladesh, France, and America joined the trip to Zhongrun Surface Engineering and Technology Industrial Park. They had received a general idea about the development of surface industrial parks in Chongqing and the status of surface finishing enterprises which have entered Chongqing market for a long time.
