    Q. Jyoti CNC has grown into one of India’s largest CNC machine tool manufacturers. Can you walk us through the company’s journey, its key milestones, and what sets it apart in the industry?

    Jyoti CNC Automation Limited, established in 1989, has evolved into one of India’s premier CNC machine tool manufacturers. The company’s journey began with a focus on conventional machines, transitioning to CNC technology in the late 1990s to meet the rising demand for precision engineering. A significant milestone was in 2007 with the acquisition of Huron Graffenstaden, a renowned French CNC machine manufacturer.This acquisition provided Jyoti with access to cutting-edge European technology and expanded its global footprint, solidifying its position as a leader in the CNC industry. A key driver of Jyoti CNC’s success has been its strong focus on research and development. The company has established state-of-the-art R&D centers that work on next-generation CNC solutions, integrating AI, automation, and IoT technologies to enhance precision and efficiency. These R&D facilities have played a crucial role in launching innovative machines tailored for industries such as aerospace, automotive, defense, and general engineering.

    Reflecting on 2024, Jyoti CNC celebrated a year of tremendous growth and success. Jyoti CNC was listed on Stock Exchanges (NSE/BSE) of India attributing its achievements to the dedication of its team and strong stakeholder support.     The company operates state-of-the-art R&D centers dedicated to developing next-generation CNC solutions. These centers integrate cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and automation to enhance machine precision, efficiency, and predictive maintenance. Jyoti CNC also collaborates with global industry leaders and academic institutions to stay ahead of emerging trends and incorporate the latest advancements in CNC machining.

A major turning point in its international growth was the acquisition of Huron Graffenstaden, a renowned French CNC machine manufacturer. This acquisition provided Jyoti CNC with access to advanced European technology and helped establish a strong foothold in global markets. Over the years, the company has expanded strategically across Europe, North America, and Asia, focusing on key manufacturing hubs to enhance its global reach.

    A key driver of Jyoti CNC’s success has been its commitment to technological innovation. With dedicated R&D centers, the company continuously integrates advanced technologies into its machines to enhance productivity and efficiency. PreciProtect is an AI-powered predictive maintenance system that continuously monitors machine health using real-time data analytics. By detecting anomalies and predicting potential failures, it helps prevent unexpected downtime, increases machine lifespan, and optimizes maintenance schedules. On the other hand, PreciFive is an AI-based machining optimization tool that enhances cutting precision, automatically adjusts machining parameters, and minimizes material waste.     At Jyoti CNC, we closely monitor market trends and evolving industry demands to drive our innovations. The introduction of specialized machines like the VST 160 for EV components and the ZEBRA CNC Chucker for high-precision machining is a direct response to these shifts.

    The electric vehicle (EV) sector is experiencing an unprecedented boom, with governments worldwide pushing for greener alternatives and automakers racing to develop advanced EV technology. This rapid transformation demands precision-engineered components that ensure efficiency, reliability, and durability. The VST 160 is designed specifically to cater to this need, offering high-speed, high-accuracy machining for critical EV parts like motor shafts and transmission components. VST 160 is equipped with automation for material handling and has achieved the fastest product completion time as compared to other individual machines of that segment.

    On the other hand, industries such as automobile, medical devices and high-end engineering continue to push the boundaries of precision machining. The ZEBRA CNC Chucker is our answer to this growing need for ultra-precise, high-efficiency machining solutions with compact footprint. With increasing miniaturization, tighter tolerances, and complex designs becoming the norm, manufacturers require machines that not only provide impeccable accuracy but also optimize cycle times and reduce waste.     Q. Jyoti CNC contributed to India’s Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan). Can you share more about this achievement and the role of your machines in space technology?

    Jyoti CNC takes immense pride in contributing to India’s historic Mars Orbiter Mission, Mangalyaan. Precision is everything in space exploration, and our advanced CNC machines played a crucial role in manufacturing high-accuracy, lightweight, and durable components for the mission. We feel especially proud that our valued customer, Surelia Wire-Cut Pvt. Ltd., Rajkot, machined some of these components on our VMC 430.

    Beyond Mangalyaan, our machines continue to support ISRO in satellite structures, propulsion systems, and aerospace applications, helping India push the boundaries of space exploration. This achievement reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence, driving India’s journey to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

    Q. What are the key challenges in the CNC machine tool industry today, and how is Jyoti CNC overcoming them to maintain its leadership position?

    In the ever-evolving CNC machine tool industry, several key challenges demand constant innovation and adaptability. One of the biggest shifts is the rapid adoption of Industry 4.0, where manufacturers need smart, connected, and automated solutions. At Jyoti CNC, we have embraced this transformation by integrating IoT-enabled monitoring, predictive maintenance, and AI-driven analytics into our machines, helping customers enhance productivity and reduce downtime there by increasing OEE.
