Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd., founded in 1962, is a leading textile machine manufacturer in India and one among the three in the world to produce the entire range of textile spinning machinery. Its value-driven Machine Tool Division was established in 1988 to produce the finest range of CNC machines. The company initially collaborated with Japan’s Morie Seiki to produce turning centers and machining centers.  Later in 1995 LMW tied up with Mikro Switzerland, to manufacture high precision universal milling machines for tool room applications. From 1996, the LMW Machine Tool Division developed its own capability to design and manufacture world-class CNC turning and machining centers.

JG 50- High Speed-Compact Vertical Machining Center

A high productivity, compact, high-speed moving column vertical machining center (VMC), JG-50 is poised to meet the high volume and high accuracy requirements of the modern industry. The machine has been tested for components with stringent quality parameters, yet meeting the high-volume production needs. The machine has a very high acceleration greater than 1G and spindle speeds up to 16,000 rpm. The tool change takes only 1 second and saves enormous time. Saving time means that ideal movements or non-cutting time is reduced to the minimum by way of increased speeds and accelerations, thereby increasing productivity substantially. The machine is
also ultra-compact which saves shop floor space.
