    What is CNC retrofit?

A CNC retrofit upgrades the CNC, the servo motors, spindle motor and drives and a portion of the associated wiring and related electrical panel. It’s not like rebuilding and remanufacturing. A CNC retrofit does not include any major repairs to the machine mechanics. Retrofitting is replacing its CNC, servo and spindle systems by latest one. The multimillion dollar 20 years old machines, with dozens of meters of traverse, are and replacement is both expensive and very disruptive to business. CNC retrofitting has proven a smart alternative because it brings the machine back to life at a fraction of the cost of a new machine and much faster than several-month lead time. Assuming the machine tool is generally in good shape mechanically, keeping it updated with the latest CNC control technologies is typically the most cost-effective and economically sustainable solution to enhance its overall performance.

    Why CNC retrofit?

CNC retrofitting is typically the low cost solution to improve the overall performance of an older CNC machines. CNC retrofitting of old machines with a new CNC control can quickly improve its productivity, reduces maintenance costs and extends machine life. The latest technology CNC controller improves machine accuracy, performance and ultimately produces quality products at low cycle time. This increases the productivity. We can produce complex parts with easy operations and easy programing. The smart CNC controlled programing assistance reduces expert human CNC programmers. This reduces human errors in part programs and ultimately reduces machine accidents. Current digital drives incorporate advanced electronics that push electrical energy back into the line when decelerating the servo and spindle motors which reduces electricity costs by30% to 50%. Recently CNC controllers are delivered with servo tuning feature to ensure stable operation for a wide range of applications with better finished products. The availability of spare parts of old CNC are very difficult as compared to recent CNCs. The standardisation of CNC controller at specific brand ensures easy spare management. Technical support may be not available for your older CNC. Even if the original manufacturer is still in business, they may not have resources available that are experienced with your particular control vintage.

    Why retrofit with Sinutech?

Sinutech has an experience of retrofit of hundreds of different types of CNC machines worldwide like VMC, HMC, Grinding, Double column, Moving column, Cam grinding, Notch milling, Floor borers, Turning, Deep hole drill machines, Crank shaft milling/grinding, CNC process automation . We inspect the machine and suggest the proper CNC controller. We are in the position to support customer every step of retrofit from CNC selection, electrical schematic design, panel rewiring, machine rewiring, electromechanical support, application programming and after sale service. We develop flexible PLC programs as per the need of user by considering all safety interlocks. We have expertise of complex PLC programming, manufacture cycles, custom pages and assisted recovery cycles. We have a reliable and secure data management which protects your machine data for entire life of the machine. We have expert service engineer team which timely responds your problems for your CNC retrofitted machine. We also have repairing centre of old servo drives and servo motors with world class testing facility. Sinutech is trying to give all best CNC services under one roof.
