Triangulation means the measurement of distance by calculating the angle. In measurement technology a Sensor projects a laser spot onto the Measurement object. The reflected light falls incident onto a receiving element at a certain angle depending on the distance. The distance to the Measurement object or Target is calculated in the Sensor by the position of the light spot on the Receiver element and from the distance of the transmitter to the receiving element. https://www.micro-epsilon.com/video/laser-triangulation-principle-EN-1920.mp4
G350T and G550T – Generation 2 The G350T, G550T and G750T 5axis universal machining centers provide customers in the machining industry almost limitless options for milling and turning workpieces from various materials. Three linear and two rotary axes enable five sided machining with five-axis simultaneous interpolation. With a swivel range of 225° on the A‘- axis and 360° on the B‘-axis, they provide optimum flexibility in terms of positioning. Their drive concept is based on two symmetrically located ball screws and weight compensation with the G550T/G750T in the Y‘axis and dynamic, wearfree torque motors in the A’ and B’-axis. Further benefits…

Now the plant also meets the requirements of EN ISO 13849 up to Performance Level (PL) d. Steel girders and gantry cranes are spread throughout the production hall and there’s a smell of metal in the air. The hall is the size of…
One of the greatest threats to the long life of a linear motion system usually occurs on its very first stroke. How do you know when a linear bearing has reached its end of travel? When the carriage hits the wall. At least, that is how the old engineering joke goes. But in reality, crashes are no laughing matter. Also known euphemistically as “hard stops,” crashes occur when an out-of-control pillow block slams into the bearing’s end stop or some other intermediate target. They most often occur when a linear axis is started up for the first time. Even a…
