Jayashree Electron, established in 1972 and headquartered in Pune, is a renowned name in the field of automation, control and safety products.
It all began in 1972 when the Jayashree group’s mother organisation ‘Jayashree Enterprises’ was launched with its patented product ‘Electrodynamic Speed Switch’. The dream of import substitution was realized in those first euphoric days. This laid the technological foundation for a line-up of other innovative products.
Developments galore
Jayashree Introduced the Motor Soft-Starter concept to Indian Industry way back in 1978 by developing the First series reactor type soft starter. Subsequently, in 1980 it pioneered the development of Inductive Proximity Switches as well as Electronic Non-contact Speed Switches.
Today the company offers complete solution for Induction Motor Soft starting with a wide range of Rector Starters for LT & MV cage motors & Slipring Motors. Electronic Starters for LT/MV motors, are manufactured with the best foreign knowhow.
“We manufacture more than 10 basic product lines, designed and developed on our own. Our dedicated work force of 150 + employees includes qualified and dedicated workforce of 150 + employees which includes eminent technicians engaged in continuous up-gradation and development efforts. We have two manufacturing plants admeasuring 4,200 sq.mtrs. equipped with latest production lines to chisel out quality products. Our Products are sold in several countries worldwide. “With our in house R&D activity we have developed Proximity Sensors for a variety of Applications in Defense, Engineering, Cement, Steel, Solar Power, Chemical, Infrastructure, Domestic, Medical, Elevators, EV and a plethora of other applications,” he reveals.
“Our Electronic non-contact speed monitors are used in India and abroad for monitoring safety bulk material handling conveyors used in steel, cement, and power generation plants.
The soft-Starters designed and manufactured by us are well-known for effectively starting pump/compressor motors at a very low current which helps to conserve energy. Our Soft-Starters are being used in major cities for fresh water supply such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Indore and many more. We have the capacity to produce 300 MV Soft Starters per month,” he elucidates.
Jayashree has developed very precise and critical products for Defense and Medical applications. The development includes precise monitoring of the speed of Submarine/Open deck Torpedoes and Sensing human body on the critical care medical equipment. The company has developed Special Motor-Starters for pumps used in Nuclear Power Plants and Critical Oxygen producing compressors, etc.
“We are continuously adopting latest manufacturing technologies and equipment. We have our own equipment for critical quality testing such as EMI/EMC /Environment/ Shock & Bump/ Frequency response, etc. Our latest SMT Pick and Place assembly line is catering to production quantity/quality requirements,” elaborates Dabke
