We have set ourselves major objectives for the future. For this reason and to further strengthen the tried and tested team of the Executive Board which has been operating successfully for many years, we have decided to adapt the organisational structure to the future market requirements from the functional aspect.
We see ourselves as a customer-orientated company which is moving away from business division structures in its orientation and turning towards a clear, function-based organisation.
In the future our internal organisation will be based on the four central pillars of development, production, sales, and finance. Therefore the previous areas of responsibility will be clearly aligned on these four groups.
In order to meet this requirement, we have appointed Dr. Klaus Weiß as an addition to the existing three-member Executive Board. We are pleased to inform you that we have been able to find an ‘all-rounder’ with many years’ experience in our industry.
Dr. Klaus Weiß is a native Westphalian who completed his engineering studies at the Technical University Karlsruhe, specialising in fluid kinetic machinery and manufacturing technology. He then did his PhD at the Turbo Engine Faculty of the Technical University Darmstadt.
Dr. Klaus Weiß has expanded and been in charge of various international production sites, for example at WILO SE (one of the world’s leading pump manufacturers) and EBRO ARMATUREN GmbH (industrial fittings). “I am pleased to be bringing this experience to bear in ZIEHL-ABEGG at such an important time”, says Dr. Klaus Weiß. “Working together with the many employees we will continue to expand the global production network.”
Dr. Klaus Weiß is 52 years old, married and has two daughters and two sons.
With the appointment of Dr. Klaus Weiß, the division of responsibilities on the Executive Board is as follows:
