    Opening ceremony of the EMO 2025 in Hannover

    Hannover, September 18, 2025. – The opening ceremony of the EMO 2025 will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 22, 2025 in the H’Up Hybrid Event Hub at the Messegelände Hannover. Around 1,600 companies from 45 countries will be exhibiting their technical innovations at the world’s leading trade fair for production technology from September 22 to 26. The trade fair is all about machinery, solutions and services for the metalworking sector. These are used in all branches of industry, such as mechanical engineering, automotive and aircraft manufacturing, the electrical and electronics industry and the medical technology sector, where they contribute to increased productivity and competitiveness. With their products, the exhibitors at the EMO 2025 are the driving force behind the modernization of the industrial sector. The trade fair will have a focus on the topics of automation, sustainability, digitalization and artificial intelligence in production. For the first time, the EMO has also appointed a partner country in the form of Alliance Country Canada@EMO2025.

    • From industry: Stephen Albrecht, Member of the Executive Board of Liebherr-International AG
    • From Alliance Country Canada@EMO2025: Evelyne Coulombe, Chargé d’affaires a.i. – Embassy of Canada in Germany
    • From the EMO: Francois Duval, President of the European Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association Cecimo, owner of the EMO brand

    The opening ceremony of the EMO marks the start of five trade fair days packed with lots of highlights, both at the exhibitors’ stands and in the varied supporting program.

    EMO Hannover 2025 – the world’s leading trade fair for production technology

    Under the motto Innovate Manufacturing, EMO will showcase the entire metalworking value chain from September 22 to 26, 2025. These are cutting and forming machine tools, manufacturing systems, precision tools, automated material flow, computer technology, industrial electronics and accessories. The EMO takes place every two years alternating between Hannover and Milan, and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025. Almost 1,600 exhibitors from 45 countries have currently registered. In 2023, the EMO attracted a good 92,000 visitors from across the globe to Hannover. As the most important platform for metalworking worldwide, the event stands for innovation: The EMO is a source of inspiration and a global leader when it comes to new products, manufacturing solutions and services. Internationality: International market leaders from 45 countries exhibit at the EMO. The trade visitors come from all major customer industries such as mechanical engineering and plant construction, the automotive industry and its suppliers, aerospace technology, precision mechanics and optics, shipbuilding, medical technology, tool and mold making, steel and lightweight construction, and from around 140 countries. Inspiration: No other trade fair presents the full breadth and depth of international manufacturing technology like the EMO. Exhibitors and visitors with a high level of expertise discuss the megatrends in manufacturing, exchange ideas with representatives of international production research and develop solutions to existing challenges. The future of metalworking: Innovate Manufacturing remains a constant challenge for the industry. The EMO points the way to the limitless possibilities of industrial manufacturing.
