Nicolas Correa started a small office in India with a basic objective to understand the Indian market. We started representative office & appointed dealers who can work for us exclusively.
After two years, we increased our staff & decided to start full-fledged India Office. We found consistent growth & good response from Indian customers. We focused on After Sales as this is the most important aspect in our business. We are proud to mention that we have sold more than 75 machines in the past 10 years. Most importantly India business is now 10% of the total turnover of our Group (Group Nicolas Correa, Spain)
We are one of the biggest machine tool manufacturing companies in Europe for Medium & Large Size Milling machines. We have @ 100,000sqm of assembly area, which is biggest in Spain.
The universal heads offered on our machines with International patent are of latest generation. High torque, high rpm with 324000 positions is the most unique feature which is rarely offered by any other manufacturer in the world.
We manufacture medium & large size Milling machines with Universal heads. The range starts from 2m x 1m table onwards in all categories of milling machines viz; Bed, Bridge, Floor & Gantry type. the maximum size for Bed type is @ 4.5 m in X travel, Bridge type is @ 14.5m in X travel, Floor type @ 7m in Vertical travel, while Gantry type @ 8m in cross travel.
With continuous development in technology, we concentrate on After Sales & training for customers in India. Service is a key for business in India. We are continuously investing in betterment of customer service.
We at Nicolas Correa believe in continuous improvement of the products manufactured by us. We invest @ 5% of our turnover in R&D every year. Design/change in product as per market demand/ customer requirement is the need of the hour.
Our machines are manufactured as per European Standards (EFQM). Before dispatch we have our standard procedure for checks on the working of the complete machine. The universal heads are tested for continuous run for more than 72 hours.
All the machines are compatible to Industry 4.0, so they can be connected to our HQ service. We have regular visits to customers to monitor the performance physically. Our warranty clause demands for preventive maintenance charts from customers on quarterly basis. There is closed loop for checking the machine uptime/performance.
We are in Capital Equipments’ sector and lot of time is taken for reaching to decision of investment and buy the machine. The decisions for need & process of procurement are not going hand in hand of demand. By the time the implementation is done, the demand is reduced. Quick decisions will completely change the present business scenario.
Secondly skilled workforce for engineering industry is in huge demand due to shortfall of talent. Let’s hope Skill India movement get us better results.
At this juncture Industry 4.0 compatibility is in big demand. In the present trend of multi-tasking & 5 axis machines; customers are looking for better machining parameters on universal heads- especially Aerospace Industry. We have developed our new universal head with higher rpm with high torque to cater to both Titanium as well as Aluminum machining on one head. We have catered to these requirements with our latest machines which are with higher rpms, high rapids & higher acceleration.
Since India is the fastest growing economy, we expect growth in this Industry too. Our major products are most suitable for Infra-structure & Energy which is the demand for growing economy. Obviously we should have better business.
We expect to double the business growth in India, resulting to increase in our market share to 20% of our global turnover. Presently we are sourcing very few items for our global market from India. We expect substantial rise in this business too.
